LeQuinn Jaquille Butts, 23, of York, arrested Tuesday for DUI, aggravated assault and other charges. (York County Prison)
York, PA -
Pennsylvania State Police arrested a York man Tuesday after he led them on a chase, rammed one of their cruisers and fought with them once they caught him, according to a news release.
Police said that they tried to stop LeQuinn Jaquille Butts, 23, at King Mill Road and Lake Avenue, but that Butts continued driving through the city and then rammed a police cruiser with two troopers inside.
When Butts' vehicle became disabled, he got out of it and ran. Troopers caught Butts, but he resisted arrest, police said.
Police charged Butts with DUI, aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude, resisting arrest, recklessly endangering another person, and numerous traffic violations. As of this morning, he was in York County Prison without bail.
Butts has a preliminary hearing before District Judge Ronald J. Haskell Jr. on June 10.
