A murder inquiry has been launched at Lindholme Prison at Doncaster after the death of a 22-year-old inmate. Two other prisoners have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
South Yorkshire Police say they were contacted by prison officials at around 3.50pm on Saturday December 21 after the 22-year-old man had died at the prison. A 23-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, both inmates, have been arrested and detained at the jail.
The dead man has not been named, but his family has been informed. Tests are being carried out to establish how he died.
